It's almost unknown in Britain, but it has a five-year modern art festival called Documenta, which we had never heard of, lots of other attractions and green spaces - the Bergpark is a 'must' - and the people seem friendly. Then we spent ur final day in ghastly Frankfurt, and wished we had stayed rein Kassel.
